F and M Track Club, also known as FMTC, is the largest competitive running club based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Runners ages 18 and over are invited to join us given you have a love for running and the work ethnic to improve.
Established in 2008, FMTC seeks to practice and promote the physical, mental, and social benefits of running and training. We believe in supporting one another, reaching our running goals, developing meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact in the great Lancaster County community.
The club meets Tuesdays at the Franklin & Marshall College outdoor track at 7AM and 6PM for group track workouts. FMTC President Jeff Kirchner shares workout options ahead of time via the weekly club email, Tuesday Track. Participants are expected to complete a warm-up routine and be ready to start the workout promptly at 7AM or 6PM. Group cool down, club announcements, and general socializing usually follow workouts. We also have a weekly Saturday morning group run of 10 miles or so starting from the F&M outdoor track at 7AM.
Members are encouraged to train year-round and to compete on road, track, and/or trail, focusing primarily on distances from 1 mile to marathons and beyond!
FMTC Members compete in many local races and ones throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Members have also competed at major marathons such as the Boston, Chicago, New York, and Berlin Marathons, and many of the national, iconic road races, including Peachtree, Falmouth, Beach to Beacon, and Bolder-Boulder.
