Based on running with groups 2/3, observation, conversation, and finally STRAVA – it appears most of our 40+ runners last evening opted for the 400s with slightly longer than usual RIs. Fair and reasonable with the 90* heat. Final kudos to Peter Weida for his Ephrata FirecrackerWin (not sure if anyone else from the club has ever won this race) and although no time $$ bonus, he took home a “Splits and Giggles” gift card and an NCAA 2021 Track Championship tee shirt. With Walter’s water, Peter’s chocolate milk, 38 PBRs, 10 special beers, 1 Coke zero, and Brenda’s Natural Light Strawberry Lemonades – I think last night was a club record for total fluid consumption – and on that note, Adam Moore has offered to be the race director for this year’s beer mile which will be JULY 29th ~ 8 PM.
